To list a ballast on the Certified Lighting Subcomponent Database (CSD), data must be submitted to a certification body (CB) demonstrating the ballast’s compliance with the following specification requirements: 

• Ballast Factor
• Dimming (as applicable)
• Power Factor
• Transient Protection
• Operating Frequency
• Lamp Current Crest Factor
• Minimum Operating Temperature (Outdoor and Indoor/Outdoor only)
• Maximum Recommended Ballast Case Temperature
• Ballast Hot Spot Location
• Electronic Ballast Safety
